ON-AIR ENTRY

On Friday, 3/15/2024 (“Promotional Period”), central Ohio Mix 107.9 listeners 18 and over will have the opportunity to win one (1) pair of tickets to see Olivia Rodrigo’s sold out concert at Nationwide Arena on Friday, 3/22/2024. At approximately 8:40am, on Friday, 3/15/2024, Andre Styles will play the cue-to-call on-air on Mix 107.9-FM. Listeners will be instructed to call the Mix 107.9 studio phone number at (614)-542-1079 when they hear the cue-to-call.

ON-AIR PRIZING

At approximately 8:40am, on Friday, 3/15/2024, Andre Styles will play the cue-to-call on-air on Mix 107.9-FM. Listeners will be instructed on-air to call the Mix 107.9 studio phone number at (614)-542-1079 when they hear the cue-to-call and be caller number 22 to be the winner. The winner will receive one (1) pair of tickets to see Olivia Rodrigo’s sold out concert at Nationwide Arena on Friday, 3/22/2024, courtesy of Interscope Records. The total approximate retail value of one (1) pair of tickets is $200.00. The winner’s name and city of residence will be posted online at MyMix1079.com and may be shared across the Mix 107.9 social media accounts.

Mix 107.9 will make reasonable efforts to award prizes within one week after the winner is chosen. To win a prize, the contestant must reside within the listening area of Mix 107.9 as defined at the exclusive discretion of Mix 107.9 management. Mix 107.9’s sole responsibility will be to award the prize and will have no further responsibility in connection with the prize if a prize winner, for any reason, cannot or decides not to use the prize. The winners will be responsible for any applicable federal and state taxes and must complete an IRS Form W-9. The winner will be responsible for any incidentals including but not limited to transportation, food and beverage, parking, etc.. Beginning at 12:00am on Friday, 3/8/2024, through 11:59pm Sunday, 3/17/2024 (“promotional period”), Mix 107.9 (WVMX) listeners and Easton Town Center patrons who are 18 and over may register the “Mix 107.9 Olivia Rodrigo Ticket Sweepstakes” by scanning a QR code located on digital signage located at the Mix 107.9 custom Olivia Rodrigo phone booth at Easton Town Center, located west of Jeni’s Ice Cream between Gilly Hicks and Brandy Melville stores and provide their first and last names, email address, street address, date of birth, and telephone number in the online registration form. All appropriate information in required fields must be entered correctly and completely or contestant will be disqualified. One entry per person. No purchase necessary. Attempting more than the stated entries may disqualify the entrant in Mix 107.9’s sole discretion.

ON-SITE PRIZING

At approximately 9:00am, on Monday, 3/18/2024, one (1) winner will randomly be selected from among all qualified entries by a Mix 107.9 representative and contacted the same day. If a chosen entrant is notified by email, voicemail, or other answering device, he or she will have 24 hours from the time we contact them to respond. If the chosen online entrant does not contact us back within the time limit, he or she will be disqualified, and another winner will be chosen from all eligible entrants. This process will continue until a winner is identified. The winner will receive one (1) pair of tickets to see Olivia Rodrigo’s sold out concert at Nationwide Arena on Friday, 3/22/2024, courtesy of Interscope Records, and a $500.00 gift card to Easton Town Center in Columbus, OH. The total approximate value of the Prize is $700.00. The winner’s name and city of residence will be posted online at MyMix1079.com and may be shared across the Mix 107.9 social media accounts.

Due to the nature of our programs that are heard online over the internet, contests may not be heard at all on Mix 107.9. Contests heard on the radio station’s internet audio stream may be slightly delayed from the time the contests are heard on the broadcast station and will be running behind the broadcast signal. Thus, all contests heard on the internet are delayed. This delay can last for as much as 30 seconds or more. This means that when Mix 107.9 contests are played that require a specific caller to telephone the radio station (such as “Caller number 9 when you hear the sound effect”), listeners to the online audio stream may be at a disadvantage in participating over those listeners who hear the contests on-air.

Winners must follow all COVID/health guidelines and protocols put into place by the concert/venue organizer.

Mix 107.9 and the Columbus Radio Group are not responsible for any event cancellations or rescheduling.

Where the prize(s) consists of electronic (digital) concert or event tickets (“e-tickets”), the winner will receive an email from Mix 107.9 with a hyperlink to an electronic waiver form that the winner must sign and return to the Mix 107.9 before the prize will be transferred to the winner. The e-tickets will be transferred to the winner by Mix 107.9 or, in some cases, by a third party (for example, Ticketmaster, LiveNation, etc.) and the winner must check his or her email account for an email or cellular mobile number for a text message from the ticket provider in order to download the e-tickets. Where e-tickets are a prize, as a condition of entering the contest, redeeming and using e-tickets requires the winner (i) to have a valid email address and an app-enabled mobile device capable of downloading and running a third-party mobile ticketing app (e.g., Ticketmaster, LiveNation, etc.); (ii) to install, or have already installed, such mobile ticketing app on their app-enabled mobile device; and (iii) to log into an existing user account or sign up for a free user account with the third-party operating such mobile ticketing app by completing a form with all required information, including, at a minimum, the winner’s first name, last name, valid email address and telephone number. E-tickets awarded as a prize in such contests cannot be redeemed or used by any means other than the designated third-party mobile ticketing app for the e-tickets. Individuals who do not have a valid email address, access to an app-enabled mobile device and/or do not comply with these requirements will not be able to redeem or use e-tickets should they be selected and verified as a winner, will not receive a substitute prize, and should not enter contests where e-tickets are the prize.

Mix 107.9 contests are open to all eligible central, OH residents 18 or older that have not won anything on Mix 107.9 in the past 30 days or any prize valued at $600 or more in the past 6 months. Only one winner per household is permitted within 30 days after a household has a winner. Any prize awarded to an ineligible listener will be deemed null and void, and an alternate eligible winner may be named.

Employees of Mix 107.9, Columbus Radio Group, Franklin Communications, Inc, and its ultimate parent company, Saga Communications, Inc., their advertising agencies, affiliates, contest sponsors, employees and immediate families of each, and employees of all media of mass communication within a one-hundred-mile radius of the Mix 107.9 main studio are not eligible to win any contest. Immediate family includes the spouse, great-grandparents, grandparents, parents, brothers, sisters, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of the employee and his/her spouse. This also includes individuals for whom the employee is the current legal guardian.

General Contest Rules

These are the rules governing all contests aired on Mix 107.9 radio and on the mymix1079.com website or Mix 107.9 mobile app, unless otherwise specified. In the following rules, “Mix 107.9” means Franklin Communications, Inc., dba CBUS Media Group and its parent corporation, Saga Communications, Inc., which owns Mix 107.9 radio:

  1. No purchase is necessary to enter any Mix 107.9 contest.
  2. To be eligible to win any prize on Mix 107.9 you must not have won anything on Mix 107.9 in the past 30 days or any prize valued at 600 or more in the past 6 months. Only one winner per household is permitted within 30 days after a household has a winner. Any prize awarded to an ineligible listener will be deemed null and void, and an alternate eligible winner may be named.

  5. Prizes awarded are not redeemable for cash. No prize is transferable. No substitution for a prize will be made at the request of winner. Mix 107.9 reserves the right to substitute a prize of similar value.
  6. All winners of all contests are responsible for all taxes on prize awarded. All winners of a prize valued at $600 or more awarded on or before 12/31/2025 or of a prize valued at $2,000 or more awarded on or after 1/1/2026 will be required to complete the appropriate tax forms at the Mix 107.9 studios prior to claiming prize. All winners will be sent a 1099 MISC federal tax form if in one calendar year the prize value of all prizes won exceeds the previous specified value.
  7. In the event the winner is subject to or the subject of any order or legal process issued by any governmental agency having jurisdiction over the affairs of the winner (i.e. garnishment, child support order, judgment, lien, and the like), Mix 107.9’s delivery of the prize to the official representative of the governmental entity claiming a right to the prize shall be thus deemed as (Mix 107.9) awarding the prize to the winner. Mix 107.9 shall be entitled to rely in good faith, upon any documents presented by the representative seeking to collect the prize in lieu of the winner. Mix 107.9 shall not be liable for any claim by any winner for damages incidental thereto.
  8. All Mix 107.9 contests are open to all eligible residents 18 or over (unless otherwise specified) living within 75 miles of station transmitter(s). Contestants must possess a valid form of identification bearing the picture of the contestant acceptable to Mix 107.9 that will be presented to Mix 107.9 and accepted before the prize is awarded. Employees of Mix 107.9, it's advertising agencies, affiliates, contest sponsors, employees and immediate families of each, and employees of all media of mass communication within a one hundred mile radius of the Mix 107.9 main studio are not eligible to win any contest. Immediate family includes the spouse, great-grandparents, grandparents, parents, brothers, sisters, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of the employee and their spouse.   9. Winners will be expected to claim prize at the Mix 107.9 studios, 4401 Carriage Hill Lane, Columbus, Ohio 43220, between 12:00pm – 5:00pm, Monday through Friday (excluding holidays) within 30 days of being notified that they are winners, unless there is an expiration date on prize, which will be specifically stated.
  10. Where the prize(s) consists of paper tickets (“will-call tickets”) the winner will be directed to go to a specified address and retrieve the will-call tickets, and, by entering the contest, the contestant agrees to pick up will-call tickets and sign and deliver to Mix 107.9 a waiver form as directed. Where the prize(s) consists of electronic (digital) concert or event tickets (“e-tickets”), the winner will receive an email from Mix 107.9 with a hyperlink to an electronic waiver form that the winner must sign and return to the Mix 107.9 before the prize will be transferred to the winner. The e-tickets will be transferred to the winner by Mix 107.9 or, in some cases, by a third party (for example, Ticketmaster, Live Nation, etc.) and the winner must check his or her email account for an email or cellular mobile number for a text message from the ticket provider in order to download the e-tickets.   12. Mix 107.9 assumes no liability for situations, repairs, or incidents arising from any aspect of any prize awarded in any contest. Mix 107.9, its advertising agencies, affiliates, contest sponsors, employees, and immediate families of each are absolved and shall be held harmless from any action or liability arising from any contest or prize awarded in any contest.
  13. As a licensee of the FCC and a trustee of the public airwaves, Mix 107.9 reserves the right to interrupt and/or discontinue any contest or promotion (and not award the offered prize) at the discretion of Mix 107.9 management if world events, the national mood, or public safety so warrant.
  14. Mix 107.9 reserves the right to amend the rules to any contest at any time. Mix 107.9's decision is always final. In the event any one of the general contest rules which govern all Mix 107.9 contests contradict with any specific contest term, the specific contest term will control.

  18. For any contests involving tickets to live performances or events, winners will need to follow all health and public safety guidelines and protocols put in place by the concert organizer.
  19. Mix 107.9 is not responsible for any event cancellations or reschedules.
  20. Mix 107.9 is not responsible for:
    • internet crashes or slowdowns caused by network congestion
    • viruses
    • sabotage
    • satellite failures
    • phone line failures
    • electrical outages
    • natural or man-made disasters
    • lost, late, misdirected, postage-due, unintelligible, returned, or undelivered entries or email
    • lost, interrupted, or unavailable satellite, network, server, Internet Service Provider (ISP), website, or other internet connections, providers, or platforms
    • failed telephone, satellite or cable hardware or software or lines, or jumbled, scrambled, delayed, or misdirected transmissions
    • computer hardware or software malfunctions, failures, or difficulties
    • other errors of any kind whether human, mechanical, electronic, or network

    Persons who tamper with or abuse any aspect of this contest or website, or act in violation of the official service, as solely determined by the station, will be disqualified. Neither sponsor nor promotion parties are responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information whether caused by website users, tampering, hacking, or by any of the programming or equipment associated with or used in this contest, and assume no responsibility for any errors, omissions, deletions, interruptions or delays in operation or transmission or communication line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized website access.

    Mix 107.9 is not responsible for injury or damage to participant’s or any other person’s computer or property related to or resulting from participating in this contest. Should any portion of contest be, in Mix 107.9’s sole opinion, compromised by virus, worms, bugs, unauthorized human intervention (i.e., hackers) or other causes which, in the sole opinion of the station, corrupt or impair administration, security, fairness or proper play of this contest, or contest plays, Mix 107.9 reserves the right at its sole discretion to suspend, modify or terminate the contest.

  21. Mix 107.9 has not made nor is in any manner responsible or liable for any warranty, representation, or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, relative to any prize, including but not limited to its quality, mechanical condition or fitness for a particular purpose. Any and all warranties and/or guarantees on prize (if any) are provided only by the manufacturer, and winners agree to look solely to such manufacturers for any such warranty and/or guarantee.
  22. The following are specifically related to E-contests and E-Mail Club promotions on mymix1079.com:
    1. All appropriate information in required fields must be entered correctly and completely or you will be disqualified.
