COLUMBUS – Police say two people died when an argument ended in gunfire on the Northeast Side late Monday night.
UPDATE 8/3/23 6:48 a.m.: The victims in this shooting have been identified as Clara Webster, 33, and Demarco Moorer, 30.
Investigators say at least three people were involved in a dispute just before midnight in the 3200 block of Plum Creek Drive when Marquise Sheppard allegedly opened fire, shooting two people.
Columbus Division of Fire paramedics pronounced one of the victims dead at the scene shortly after midnight while Mifflin Township fire personnel took the second victim to a hospital where they were pronounced dead at 2:13 a.m., according to Homicide Unit detectives.
Sheppard, 29, was arrested on two counts of murder.
The investigation continues.
