COLUMBUS, Ohio – Both suspects in a double shooting on the West Side Sunday are behind bars.
Police issued an arrest warrant for Christopher Juan Prater, 22, on a charge of murder in connection with the shooting that left one man dead and another injured.
Joviyon Stephen Turner, 18, was charged in the same incident earlier this week.
UPDATE: Joviyon Stephen Turner was arrested in Steubenville without incident, police said.
Prater is described as a black male, 5’8″/160 lbs. with black hair and brown eyes and police say both men should be considered armed and dangerous, said Sgt. Dave Sicilian of the Columbus Police Homicide Unit.
Anyone with any information about the incident or the suspects is asked to call the Homicide Unit at 614-645-4730 or Crime Stoppers.
Raheem Dearmond was killed and Toure Benton injured in a shooting in a parking lot at 1425 Demorest Drive at approximately 1:25 p.m. Sunday, Sicilian said.
The two were found at the United Dairy Farmers, 3535 Clime Road, where Benton had driven to look for help.
Sicilian says Dearmond was dead inside the vehicle while Benton was found near the front door of the store.
