COLUMBUS – A teen died hours after being shot in the Mt. Vernon neighborhood, police said.
Dereon Draper-Robinson, 15, Saturday afternoon of injuries suffered in the shooting in the 1200 block of Atcheson Street Friday night, Homicide Unit investigators said.
Officers responding to the reported shooting just after 6:00 p.m. Friday found the teen suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
He was taken to OhioHealth Grant Medical Center where he died at 2:18 p.m. Saturday, police said.
No suspects have been identified and the motive for the shooting is unknown.
