COLUMBUS – An 8-year-old boy is expected to survive after being accidentally shot in the face in a home in Reynoldsburg Wednesday afternoon.
The child was listed in stable condition at Nationwide Children’s Hospital after the shooting in the area of Bayspirit Drive and Candlestone Drive.
Columbus police officers responding to a report of an accidental shooting at a home in the area of Bayspirit Drive and Candlestone Drive at 5:46 p.m. found the victim, K.S., suffering from a gunshot wound to the face, according to Det. Leonard Miner of the Columbus police Physical Abuse Unit, part of the Division of Police Special Investigations Bureau.
The boy was taken to Nationwide Children’s Hospital in stable condition.
No charges have been filed at this time and the investigation will continue, Miner said.
