COLUMBUS – Franklin County Sheriff’s deputies and Prairie Township police officers spent several hours on Monday clearing the last of the residents out of a troubled West Side apartment complex.
The Galloway Village Apartments, on N. Murray Hill Road, has been the center of numerous problems, according to a post on the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office social media platform.
Deputies helped the few families that still were living there move out.
Five squatters were arrested on outstanding warrants.
The apartment complex was deemed unsafe for habitation earlier this year amid complaints about trash, lack of utilities and other problems.
