Buckeyes drop in AP Top 25 despite 2-0 record

COLUMBUS – Ohio State fell to No. 6 in the AP Top 25 college football poll but after beating Youngstown State 35-7 Saturday, though they remained at No. 4 in the USA Today coaches poll.

Georgia remained the clear No. 1 in the AP media survey, Michigan is No. 2, and Florida State is No. 3.

Texas jumped to No. 4 in The AP poll and USC is No. 5.

Ohio State gets what should be a more challenging tune-up game Saturday at home against Western Kentucky (4:00 p.m./FOX) ahead of a critical matchup at No. 10 Notre Dame on Sept. 23.
