COLUMBUS – Kyle Manzardo accounted for all of the scoring in the game and seven Columbus pitchers combined to strike out 18 Omaha hitters as the Clippers notched their first win of the season, 3-0, over the Storm Chasers in a delayed home opener at Huntington Park Wednesday night.
Manzardo brought in the game’s first run with a sacrifice fly in the third inning, then blasted a two-run homer to right center field in the fifth.
The Clippers’ scheduled home opener Tuesday night was postponed due to inclement weather.
