Clippers 8, Storm Chasers 5

COLUMBUS – Dom Nunez hit a two-run homer in the fourth inning to cap a furious rally and lead the Clippers to an 8-5 victory over the Omaha Storm Chasers Friday night at Huntington Park.

Columbus found itself in a deep hole after Nate Eaton and Devin Mann each drove in two runs and scored as the Storm Chasers took a 5-0 lead on the top of the fourth.

In the bottom of the frame, Daniel Schneemann and Micah Pries each hit two-run doubles to cut the lead to 5-4 before Tyler Duffy (0-1) delivered a 3-2 knuckle curve down and over the middle of the plate and Nunez drove it deep to right field.

Nunez added an RBI double and scored in the sixth.

Randy Labaut (1-1) took over for starter Will Dion in the fourth and got the benefit of the offensive outburst.
