COLUMBUS – The Clippers scored six runs with two outs in the seventh inning to earn a 9-3 win over the Buffalo Bisons Friday night at Huntington Park.
Kyle Manzardo broke a 3-3 tie with a double to right field that brought Myles Straw around from second base to give Columbus a lead they never relinquished.
Daniel Schneemann capped the rally with a two-run homer.
Nic Enright (2-0) pitched the sixth and seventh innings to get the win.
The Clippers took an early 2-1 lead on Johnathan Rodriguez’ two-run homer but Buffalo took the lead back with a two-run homer by Orelvis Martinez in the third.
Juan Brito got the Clippers’ rally started with a single that brought Micah Pries home from third with the tying run.
