COLUMBUS – David Fry knocked in
six runs as the Clippers outscored the Charlotte Knights 21-0 to sweep a Friday night doubleheader at Huntington Park.
Daniel Schneemann hit a three-run homer in the Clippers’ seven-run fifth inning as Columbus hammered out 11 hits on the way to beating Charlotte 17-0 in the makeup of a Wednesday rainout.
Luis Oviedo (1-0) got the win.
Schneemann collected another RBI with double in the opener while Fry drove in two runs with a triple in the fourth as Columbus went on to win, 4-0.
Clippers starter Tanner Hayes Bibee (1-0) struck out seven hitters in five shutout innings for the win.
