Clippers rally to beat Mud Hens as fans return in force

COLUMBUS – The Clippers rallied from a 4-1 deficit to beat the Toledo Mud Hens, 5-4, Tuesday in the first game played at full capacity at Huntington Park since 2019.

There were empty seats but more than 9,000 fans turned out on a beautiful late spring night as the stadium was allowed to open at full capacity of 10,100 after weeks of COVID-19 pandemic attendance restrictions.

Connor Marabell’s walkoff RBI double in the ninth was the game-winner.

Marabell also scored on a two-run double by Andres Gimenez that tied the score at 4-4 in the seventh.
