COLUMBUS – The Crew will face the Tigres in the quarterfinals of the Concacaf Champions Cup after playing to a 1-1 draw in the second leg of the round of 16 against Houston Dynamo FC at Lower.com Field Tuesday night.
Columbus won the home-and-home aggregate series, 2-1.
Forward Cucho Hernández hauled in a diagonal pass from Christian Ramirez, making a slight move and then firing in at the near post, beating Dynamo goalkeeper Steve Clark for a 1-0 lead in the 39th minute.
Griffin Dorsey score on a penalty kick to tie the match.
The Crew return to MLS regular-season action at home on Saturday (7:30 p.m.) against New York Red Bulls.
