COLUMBUS – A 21-year-old man was due in court Monday to face a child-endangering charge after his 3-year-old son reportedly shot himself accidentally with his father’s gun.
Police say Abdalla Abdalla drove his son to Nationwide Children’s Hospital late Friday night and told police the shooting had happened in the 1800 Block of Hollow Run Drive on the Southwest Side, Det. Dana Houseberg of the Columbus police Domestic Violence Unit said.
Abdalla was arrested and is currently in the custody of the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department.
The child was treated at the hospital.
