COLUMBUS – A registered sex offender has been charged with pandering child pornography after the crowd sourcing company Dropbox alerted authorities to his activities.
The Columbus Division of Police Exploited Children Unit and Franklin County Internet Crimes Against Children arrested David Stickler early Wednesday morning and a SWAT team executed a search warrant at his Sycamore Street home, Sgt. Steve Oboczky, of the Columbus police Organized Crime’s Exploited Children’s Unit.
Stickler was charged with pandering sexually oriented materials involving minors, a second-degree felony.
He will face possible additional charges related to the possession and distribution of child sexual abuse materials in a future indictment, Oboczky said.
Stickler, 34, is a registered tier II sex offender stemming from a 2014 conviction for pandering obscenity involving minors, Oboczky said.
