COLUMBUS – Police are investigating a shooting on the East Side Monday morning that left a man dead.
Officers dispatched to the 1500 block of Basil Drive on a shooting report at 9:12 a.m. found Fred Little suffering from a gunshot wound, Sgt. Michael Smith of the Columbus Division of Police Homicide Unit said.
Columbus Fire medics arrived and pronounced the 56-year-old man dead at the scene.
The motive in the shooting was unknown early Tuesday and Smith says the investigation continues.
