COLUMBUS – Police say a 69-year-old woman was shot to death on the Northeast Side Thursday night.
Officers responding to a reported shooting in the 1900 block of Aberdeen Avenue in the East Linden neighborhood at 7:55 p.m. found Linda Lee Johnson suffering from gunshot wounds, homicide detectives said.
Johnson was taken to a hospital where she died at 8:22 p.m.

Detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying the vehicle believed to be used in the drive-by shooting that led to Johnson’s death.
It is described as a white Honda Accord, model years 2018 to 2022. Anyone with any information about this vehicle or possible is asked to call the Columbus police homicide unit at 614-645-4730 or Central Ohio Crime Stoppers at 614-461-TIPS (8477).
Another woman and two men were present at the scene but police say they were not struck by gunfire.
No suspect information is available at this time.
