COLUMBUS – The Columbus Fury fell to the Grand Rapids Rise in a marathon four-set match Wednesday night at Nationwide Arena.
After dropping the first two sets, 25-20 and 25-18, Columbus (4-5) battled back to take the third set 25-19.
After falling behind 16-12, the Fury went on a 4-0 run to tie the score at 20 and earned the first set point at 24-23 but failed to score the winner and fought off three match points before the Rise ended the match with a 32-30 win.
Courtney Lush led the Columbus attack with 14 kills and added 12 digs for her third double-double of the season.
