COLUMBUS, Ohio – A horrifying tale of kidnap and torture is unfolding on the Hilltop where a man and woman have been arrested and accused of torturing three people inside their home last summer.
A SWAT team stormed a house at 178 N. Harris Avenue at 9:30 Wednesday night and Obryan Jones, 29, and Belynda Coffman, 23, both charged with two counts of kidnapping, according to a police report.
Sexual Assault Unit investigators say Jones and Coffman forced two men and a woman into the home at gunpoint last July and held them prisoner for several hours.
The victims said they were blindfolded, beaten and tortured and the woman was sexually assaulted during an ordeal that lasted for six or seven hours.
Police said the torture included teeth being pulled out with pliers.
Detectives said they found items the victims said had been used in their torture when they entered the house Wednesday night.
There was no immediate information about an attorney for suspects.
The names of the victims were not released.
