COLUMBUS – Columbus police arrested a man at the scene of a deadly shooting during a domestic disturbance on the Hilltop early Monday morning.

Officers responding to a reported shooting in the 200 Block of S Eureka Avenue at 3:48 a.m. found a man and woman inside the home suffering from gunshot wounds, according to Sgt. David Shimberg of the Columbus police homicide unit.
Joshua Farmer, 22, was unresponsive with an apparent gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene, Shimberg said.
A 47-year-old woman had suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was taken to a hospital where Shimberg says she is expected to recover.
Alfred Davis Jr., 57, was arrested at the scene and charged with murder and felonious assault, Shimberg said.
The initial investigation indicates the shooting stemmed from a domestic dispute
