COLUMBUS – Police have charged a 19-year-old man with the murder of his ex-girlfriend on the Northeast Side Sunday night.

Latrell Stafford was detained in an apartment in the 1600 block of Alona Drive and charged with murder in the death of Tyday’sha Robinson,
Sgt. Michael Smith of the Columbus police Homicide Unit.
Officers were dispatched to the address after a caller reported a person was unresponsive at 10:26 p.m. When they arrived, Smith says they found Robinson, 19, suffering from visible injuries.
Clinton Township Fire Department paramedics transported the victim to a hospital where she was pronounced dead at 11:27 p.m., Smith said.
“The preliminary investigation indicates a dispute occurred between Robinson and Stafford regarding their past intimate relationship,” Smith said.
The investigation continues.
