COLUMBUS – Police are looking for clues in the shooting death of a man on the Northeast Side Wednesday afternoon.
Police officers dispatched to the 1100 block of E. 18th Avenue on a report of a shooting shortly after noon found Royce Gilbert suffering from a gunshot wound, Sgt. Dave Harrington of the Columbus police Homicide Unit said.
Columbus Division of Fire paramedics took the 19-year-old Gilbert to OhioHealth Grant Medical Center where he died at 12:51 p.m.
