COLUMBUS – Columbus homicide detectives are asking witnesses to a deadly shooting at an East Side after-hours club early Sunday to come forward with information about the incident.
Dante Gamble was in the parking lot of the Luxxe Loung, 1320 Beechwood Road, apparently leaving the club after it closed down at approximately 5:21 a.m. when gunfire erupted and the 39-year-old man was struck, according to Sgt. James Marable of the Homicide Unit.
Some patrons tried to help Gamble, who was taken Mount Carmel East Hospital in critical condition and died at 6:00 a.m.
Following the shooting, Marable says a number of other patrons can be seen on video leaving prior to the arrival of officers.
