COLUMBUS – Police say a road-rage incident led to a shooting on an East Side interstate Tuesday night.
A man told police he was driving eastbound on I-70 between Alum Creek Drive and James Road at approximately 9:30 p.m. when a man in an agitated state pulled up next to him in a black SUV, according to Sgt. Emanuel Edwards, of the Columbus police Felony Assault Unit.
The victim described hearing a loud pop and feeling a burning sensation on his right side. He drove himself home where he realized he’d been shot and called police, Edwards said.
The man was treated at the hospital for a minor gunshot wound and is expected to make a full recovery.

South Linden shooting leaves juvenile critically injured
Columbus Homicide Unit detectives are investigating the shooting of a juvenile on the Northeast Side Tuesday night.
Officers called to the 1600 block of Cleveland Avenue at 9:34 p.m. on a report of a shooting, found the victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound, Sgt. James Marable of the Homicide Unit said.
The juvenile was listed in critical condition at a nearby hospital and Marable says, due to the severity of the victim’s injuries, the Homicide Unit is investigating.
