Man’s death ruled a homicide

COLUMBUS – Columbus homicide detectives want to talk to two people they think may have information about the death of a man whose body was found on the Northeast Side early Wednesday.

Matthew Hurt was found lying beside a service road in the 1300 block of Morse Road at 4:31 a.m. and paramedics pronounced the 39-year-old man dead at the scene, Sgt. James Marable of the Homicide Unit said.

A post-mortem examination by the Franklin County Coroner’s Office later that day found signs of foul play Hurt’s death was ruled Hurt’s death a homicide and is now being investigated by the Homicide Unit.
