Brian Frey was a licensed practical nurse working for Premise Healthcare, which was contracted to provide services at the Scotts Miracle Gro Corporation’s Wellness Center, Union County Prosecuting Attorney David Phillips said.

Investigators with the Ohio Board of Nursing notified the Marysville Division of Police of potential violations last year after allegations of inappropriate behavior were reported by a patient and further investigation turned up 17 cases where Frey, 54, assaulted male patients during examinations, Phillips said.

Frey pleaded guilty Tuesday to a 17-count indictment in the Union County Common Pleas Court and is scheduled to be sentenced on August 10, Phillips said.

Other victims were identified but, because of the passage of time or evidentiary issues, Phillips says charges could not be brought.

Investigators also found Frey was disciplined in 2011 by a previous employer relating to unwanted sexual contact with male patients.
