COLUMBUS – Police have released the name of a 15-year-old who was shot at Easton Town Center Sunday night, allegedly by a 13-year-old.
Homicide Unit detectives say Ra’shawyn Carter was shot to death by Tae’shaun Orr just after 6:00 p.m., prompting a lockdown and evacuation of the mall.
Orr has been charged with murder and another 13-year-old boy has been charged with obstructing justice, Sgt. Edward Powell III of the Homicide Unit said.
Suspect arrested in connection with double homicide
Police say a 32-year-old man has been arrested on charges related to the deaths of two men on E. Mound St. earlier this month.
Anthony Bogins was arrested Tuesday on charges having weapons under disability and tampering with evidence in relation to the fatal shootings of Nicholas Ealy, 41, and Alberto DeLeon, 69, who were shot during an argument on Aug. 6, according to Sgt. Michal Smith of the Homicide Unit.
Man admits to fatal stabbing
A 26-year-old Powell man is behind bars after police say he admitted to stabbing a woman to death inside her Southeast Side home Tuesday.
Officers found Shannon Hiott, 29, inside her home in the 140-0 Berkeley Road at approximately 6:15 p.m. while responding to a report of a possible deceased person at the address in the 1400 block of Berkeley Road, Sgt. David Shimberg of the Homicide Unit said.
Hiott was pronounced dead at the scene and Shimberg says Chance Donohoe turned himself in to officers, where he admitted to his role in Hiott’s death and was charged with murder.
Donohoe was taken to the Franklin County Jail.
The investigation continues, Shimberg said.
