Police seek 2 men in gym shooting

COLUMBUS – Columbus police have released photos they say show two persons of interest in the death of a man who was shot while he played basketball at a West Side gym Tuesday night.

They are asking for the public’s help identifying the two men.

Officers responding to a reported shooting at Esporta Fitness in the 1800 block of Tanglewood Parkway Boulevard at 8:46 p.m. found Tabies Cunningham, 23, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, Sgt. Eric Piliya of the Homicide Unit said.

Cunningham was taken to the OSU Wexner Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at 9:37 p.m.

Pilya says at least one man fled the scene in a small white vehicle.
