COLUMBUS – Columbus police are looking for the man they say gunned down three people at a South Side bar earlier this month, killing two of them.
UPDATE 9/26/23 7:15 a.m.: The suspect in this case was arrested on Sept. 25 in Largo, Fla., police said.
Joseph Howard has been charged with murder and a warrant has been issued for his arrest, but the 19-year-old man remains at large and anyone with knowledge of his whereabouts is asked to contact the police at 614-645-4730.
Howard is accused of shooting Tavia Copley, Taya Mollette and a third adult victim at Double D’s Pub in the 1500 Block of S. High Street on Sept. 13, according to Sgt. David Harrington of the Homicide Unit.
Copley, 24, was pronounced dead at the scene by Columbus Division of Fire paramedics while Mollette, also 24, was taken to a hospital where she died less than hour later, Harrington said.
The third adult victim was taken to a local hospital and is expected to survive their wounds.
