Police: Teen dies of self-inflicted gunshot wound after killing sister

COLUMBUS – A double shooting Sunday in South Franklinton has now been classified a murder-suicide as the teenager who turned the gun on himself after shooting his 21-year-old sister has died.,

Abdihakim Bilal, 16, shot Zeinab Bilal at a residence in the 700 block of Canonby Place during a domestic dispute, according to Columbus police Homicide Unit detectives.

Zeinab Bilal was pronounced dead at the scene and Abdihakim Bilal was taken to a hospital where he died just after midnight Wednesday, police said.

Murder victim identified

Police have identified a man shot to death during a fight on the Northeast Side early Monday as Isiaha Thompson-Angus, 29, according to Sgt. James Marable of the Homicide Unit.

Thompson-Angus was found suffering from an apparent gunshot wound just after 4:15 a.m. in the 900 block of N. 4th Street after a passerby report the body of a man lying near dumpsters in the rear parking lot of a business, Marable said.

Surveillance video shows Thompson-Angus fighting with another man about two hours earlier and the second man fleeing the scene, along with a woman and a third man, Marable said.
