School officials deal with email threats deemed not credibile

COLUMBUS – Officials in some central Ohio school districts were informing families Sunday evening about a threatening email sent to school administrators across the country claiming to be from a “Russian organization” targeting American schools.

Police stated that there was no credibility to the email claims but some districts provided extra security at some schools this morning. according to a report on WBNS 10-TV.

Hilliard City Schools, Olentangy Schools, South-Western City School District, Worthington City Schools, and Reynoldsburg City Schools all reported receiving threats and the Logan-Hocking Schools cancelled classes and activities Monday after receiving a threat via Snapchat, according to the district website.
