Two dead in possible murder-suicide

COLUMBUS – Columbus police are reportedly investigating the shooting deaths of a man and a woman on the East Side Thursday morning as a murder-suicide.

UPDATE 10/9/23 8:03 a.m.: The victims in this incident have been identified as Adrianne Collins, 37, and Jermaine Levert, 46, police have announced. Investigators are still awaiting laboratory comparisons and analysis to determine the circumstances in this homicide.

Officers dispatched to the 6000 block of Lake Club Court in the Cornerstone Crossings apartment complex at 9:22 a.m. on a report that two people had been shot found two adults inside an apartment unresponsive, Sgt. David Shimberg of the Columbus police Homicide Unit said.

They were pronounced dead at the scene.

Youth shot while driving along Eastmoor street

Police say a juvenile was injured when someone shot them while they were driving along an East Side street early Friday morning, police said

Two youths were traveling in the 700 block of Elizabeth Avenue just after 1:30 a.m. when fired at their car several times, striking one of the victims in the leg, according to detectives with the Felony Assault Unit.

The other juvenile drove the victim to a hospital where they were in stable condition Friday and expected to survive their injuries, police said.
