CCOLUMBUS – Columbus Homicide Unit detectives are investigating the death of a woman found at a New Albany area address Friday.
Officers checking on the well-being of a person in the 7000 block of Stapleton Drive just after 6:30 p.m. found one victim Morgan Bruster, 31, suffering from a gunshot wound.
Plain Township paramedics pronounced her dead at the scene shortly before 7:00, Sgt. Michael Smith of the Homicide Unit said.
What led to the shooting is unknown and police are continuing to investigate.
