COLUMBUS – Police are questioning a woman in connection with a fatal beating in Grandview Heights and are still looking for a man they say is a person of interest in the death of Stephen Albright, who was found dead earlier this month near some railroad tracks.
Grandview Heights detectives conducting surveillance in the 100 block of Columbian Avenue in the Hilltop neighborhood Tuesday took the woman, whose name has not been released, into custody for questioning, according to a post on a Grandview Heights Division of Police social media site.

Police are still looking for Jacob Laurence (right), identified as a person of interest in Albright’s death in surveillance images released last week.
Grandview police say the 33-year-old Laurence may be in the Hilltop or Franklinton neighborhoods of Columbus and should be considered armed and dangerous.
He is wanted on an arrest warrant stemming from a previous burglary investigation and may have altered his appearance and shaved his head. Police say anyone seeing him should not approach him but call 911 instead.
Albright died Nov. 17, five days after officers found him beside the tracks near W. 5th Avenue, east of Dublin Road, at approximately 7:45 p.m., according to a Grandview Heights police social media post.
He was taken to a hospital in critical condition with serious head injuries, police said.
Police released photos of two people they consider persons of interest (above) after witnesses reported seeing bicyclists leaving the scene where Albright was found.
If you have any information as to the whereabouts of Jacob Laurence or additional information regarding the investigation, please contact the Grandview Heights Division of Police at 614-488-7901.
