Abuelo’s was back in the Mix Studio Bar making us some drinks with really bold flavors. Bartender, Anna, brought 3 drinks to share with listeners including the Strawberry Mojito, a Peach Margarita on the rocks, and the El Jefe “The Boss” Margarita.
Strawberry Mojito: a delicious blend of fresh berry, mint, with sweetened lime and rum.
Combine the following ingredients into a tumbler or shaker:
- Muddle together fresh strawberries and mint leaves
- Flor de Caña Rum
- Sweetened Lime Juice
Shake over ice and strain into a glass. Add a splash of soda water and enjoy.
Peach Margarita on the Rocks: a simple blend of fresh peaches, lemon, and lime juices that will make you crave more.
Combine the following ingredients into a tumbler or shaker:
- Margarita Mix (Abuelo’s uses their house mix)
- Peach Purée
Shake over ice and pour into a glass that has been rimmed with sugar. Serve with a lime wedge for garnish and enjoy.
El Jefe “The Boss” Margarita: This is a strong drink featuring grilled oranges, tequilas, and a taste of lime juice. It’s so strong, Abuelo’s can only serve you 2 drink during your dining experience!
Combine the following ingredients into a tumbler or shaker:
- Muddle a couple grilled oranges
- Tequila
- Agavera Orange Tequila
- Sweetened Lime Juice
Shake over ice and strain over another grilled orange into a martini glass that has been rimmed with sale. Enjoy!
