It’s almost Cinco de Mayo, which means another visit to the Mixology studio from our friends at El Vaquero Mexican Restaurant! Ruben stopped in to talk about all of the amazing food and drink specials they’ll be featuring throughout the course of their 5-day celebration May 1st-May 5th!
Pop into one of their many locations and enjoy:
- $4.99 Mexican beer bottles (Modelo, Negra Modelo, Corona, Corona Light, Premier and Pacifico)
- 10 oz lunch margaritas of any flavor for $4.99 from 11am-2pm every day (Stop in on May 5th for an all-day Happy Hour!)
- Full menu of sizzling fajitas, zesty tacos and more!
And it wouldn’t be a Mixology segment without learning how to make some of the tasty cocktails you can order from El Vaquero this weekend!
First, Ruben made the La Catrina Margarita, which is a guava margarita made with Rey Supremo tequila (which will be their featured tequila for all of Cinco de Mayo)!
Then, he made the La Flaka Margarita, which translates to “The Skinny Margarita” and is made with Mi Campo tequila
Next, he showed us how to make the Mexican staple, Paloma, made with Patron Silver and grapefruit soda
Finally, he created the CoronaRita, which is made by combining a traditional margarita and topping it off with a mini Corona Light!
