Our friends from El Vaquero Mexican Restaurant stopped in the Mix Studio Bar to get Mix listeners ready for Cinco de Mayo on May 5 and Mother’s Day on May 8! El Vaquero is known for its margaritas and select premium tequilas, but it’s just as passionate for wines, specialty cocktails, domestic, craft, draft, and imported beers. Today, Ruben and Dominic teach Mix listeners to make four of El Vaquero’s signature drinks – a Premium Margarita, a Paloma (National Paloma Day is May 22), the new Red Bull Margarita, and a Jalisco Mule. Cinco de Mayo is right around the corner, and El Vaquero is the place to celebrate! On May 5, guests can enjoy $3.99 bottles of Modelo, Negra Modelo, Corona, Corona Light, Premier, and Pacifico when they dine in. Looking ahead, El Vaquero also has a great Mother’s Day promotion coming up. On Sunday, May 8, all mothers will receive a free Flan or Sopapilla dessert with the purchase of any entrée. - Premium Margarita: Made with 100% Blue Agave Spirit Viva Agave, Citronge, and El Vaquero’s secret lime mixer.
- Paloma: Made with Patron Silver Tequila, grapefruit citrus soda, fresh lime, Served with a salt-rimmed glass, on the rocks, garnished with a lime.
- Red Bull Margarita: Made with flavored red bull, Hornitos Premiuim Plata Tequila, and fresh lime juice. Garnish with a lime wedge.
- Jalisco Mule: Featuring Patrón Tequila Patrón Reposado, ginger beer, fresh lime juice, garnished with a lime wedge, served on the rocks.

- Flan: Creamy caramel sauce over the silky custard. with a taste of Mexican tradition.
- The Carnitas Family Meal Pack: Delicious roasted pork tips. Served with Mexican rice, refried beans, pico de gallo guacamole salad and flour tortillas
- Cochinita Pibil: Marinated baked pork Yucatan style. On a bed of rice, and sprinkled with fresh green onions. Served with three flour tortillas, beans, lettuce, guacamole, sour cream, pico de gallo, and tomato.
- Ensalada Tropical: Romaine, gourmet greens, pineapple, mango, black corn salsa, feta cheese, tomato, with grilled shrimp and your choice of dressing.
