Our friends at Middle West Spirits have been quite busy since their last visit to the Mix Studio Bar, but it’s been a good kind of busy! We’re thrilled for the distillery’s exciting updates! Kyle Nelson, the Single Barrel Program Manager, has graciously shared three fantastic cocktail recipes featuring Middle West Spirits. Now you can recreate these delicious drinks at home. Get ready to enjoy the Paper Plane with Michelone Reserve Bourbon, the Cardinale with Lux & Umbra Gin, and the Transfusion with OYO Character Vodka. TRANSFUSION

  • 1.5oz OYO American Character Vodka
  • .75oz concord grape juice
  • .5oz freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • Shake in a tumbler of ice until chilled and strain into a rocks glass
  • Float ginger ale on top

PAPER PLANE

  • .75oz  Michelone Reserve Bourbon
  • .5oz freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • .75oz Aperol
  • .75oz Amaro Nonino
  • Shake in a tumbler of ice and strain into a coupe glass or serve on the rocks

CARDINALE

  • 1oz Lux & Umbra Gin
  • .75oz Campari
  • .75oz dry vermouth
  • Stir with ice to chill and incorporate ingredients. Strain and serve in a rocks glass
