Middle West Spirits serves up breakfast-themed drinks

       

Breakfast is served!… Well, at least that’s the theme of the drinks Kyle Nelson from Middle West Spirits is serving up during this Mixology. What breakfast would be complete without syrup, especially when it’s Middle West Spirits’ Bourbon Barrel-Aged Maple Syrup, which is a key ingredient in the three cocktails Kyle teaches you how to make. Kyle starts with an “Espresso Martini” made with OYO Honey Vanilla Bean Vodka, Branca Menta, Espresso, and Middle West Spirits’ Bourbon Barrel-Aged Maple Syrup. Next, Kyle shows you how to make the “Apple of my Rye” aka and “Apple Orange” using Middle West Spirits’ Straight Rye Dark Pumpernickel Whiskey, apple brandy, Middle West Spirits’ Bourbon Barrel-Aged Maple Syrup, and orange bitters. Finally, an “Espresso Negroni” – a battle of bitter and sweet – using Middle West Spirits’ Vim & Petal Gin, sweet vermouth, OYO Stone Fruit Vodka, Campari, and Middle West Spirits’ Bourbon Barrel-Aged Maple Syrup. You can find all the recipes and how-to videos for each drink below. Kyle and Middle West Spirits don’t advise anyone to actually drink these cocktails for breakfast. Espresso Martini

  • 1.5oz OYO Honey Vanilla Bean Vodka
  • .5oz Blanca Menta
  • 2oz Espresso
  • .25oz Middle West Spirits’ Bourbon Barrel-Aged Maple Syrup
  • Shake over ice until cold and frothy. Strain into a martini glass and enjoy. Cheers!

Apple Of My Rye

  • 2oz Middle West Spirits’ Straight Rye Dark Pumpernickel Whiskey
  • .5oz Apple Brandy
  • .25oz Middle West Spirits’ Bourbon Barrel-Aged Maple Syrup
  • A few dashes of orange bitters
  • Stir ingredients in a glass of ice until cold and strain into a glass. Enjoy!

Espresso Negroni

  • 1oz Middle West Spirits’ Vim & Petal Gin
  • .5oz Sweet Vermouth
  • .5oz Stone Fruit Vodka
  • 1oz Campari
  • .25oz Middle West Spirits’ Bourbon Barrel-Aged Maple Syrup
  • Shake in a tumbler of ice until cold – about 30 seconds – strain into a glass and enjoy!
