Summer Drinks Everyone Can Enjoy from Brown-Forman!

Whisky Pete from Brown-Forman stopped by the Mix 107.9 studio for not only another Mixology Thursday segment… but Gordo’s first Mixology Thursday! Pete created delicious, and easy-to-make cocktails to get you prepared for the summer!

First, Pete shows you how to create a Tom Collins, made with their clean, authentic Fords Gin mixed with lemon juice and simple syrup, topped with sparkling water!

Next comes the Gold Rush, made with Jack Daniel’s Bonded – voted 2022 Whisky of the Year by Whisky Advocate Magazine. Throw in some lemon juice and what Pete calls, “Runny Honey”, which mixes warm water and honey to dilute it and prevent it from clumping.

For those that are fans of tiki drinks, next up is the Painkiller, made with Diplimatico Reserva Rum. This is made with a variety of fresh juices, including pineapple juice, orange juice and creme de coconut and topped off with nutmeg!

Finally is a drink made for the bitter fans out there, the Espresso Martini made with Herradura Tequila. Toss in some coffee liquor, espresso and simple syrup and you’re good to go!

 

Diplomatico Painkiller

2 oz.  Diplomatico Reserva

4 oz.  pineapple juice

1 oz.  fresh-squeezed orange juice 

1 oz.  cream of coconut

ice

freshly grated nutmeg

halved orange slice, for garnish

Fords Gin Tom Collins

2 oz Ford’s Gin
1 oz lemon juice
1/2 oz simple syrup
Club soda
Lemon wheel

 

Herradura Espresso Martini

1 oz Herradura Silver

3/4 oz coffee liqueur

1 1/4 oz espresso

1/2 oz simple syrup

 

Jack Daniel’s Bonded Gold Rush

2 oz Jack Daniel’s Bonded

3/4 oz lemon juice

3/4 oz honey syrup
